Surrendering

Each individual leads a unique life journey, shaped by personal experiences and emotions. Despite our differences, we share a commonality in encountering moments of tragedy, loss, and sadness. At just 26 years old, I've confronted significant loss, moments where the weight of sorrow seemed insurmountable. Coping mechanisms vary, and for me, the act of creation provides solace, allowing me to release and embrace the depth of my emotions. Through my paintings, I seek to capture the spectrum of human feelings, serving as a reminder of our interconnectedness amid life's highs and lows. My artworks are named based on my emotional journey during their creation. The piece that I have submitted is called “surrendering”. To me this piece is all about the succumbing to grief and learning to find peace in order to keep living. After all we never learn to live with grief we just grow around it.
