Little Mussleroe Bay

The gentle movement of the waves on the white sand brought a calmness over Jenepher as she

looked out at the crystal blue water at Little Musselroe Bay in the NE of Tasmania. On that day only Jenepher and her family made footprints in the sand and all that could be heard was the rolling

waves brushing against the shore.

Jenepher hand-dyed silk organza to represent the colour of the water on that day. To achieve the gentle movement of the waves the silk was cut into strips and twisted before being manipulated

over a base of Paris Net. The individual pieces were tied and hand-stitched into place.
