Greg Schiffler

Greg Schiffler is a Northern Beaches based artist who has been painting and drawing his whole life with a particular focus on bold, dot-based abstract works for the last 35 years. His colourful and unique designs are the result of an eclectic life full of exploration and experiences. Greg was taught by the Australian artist Robert Doyle who was an inspirational figure in Greg's artistic career. Greg has travelled all over the world, extensively through Asia, has a thirst for knowledge specifically in history and ancient cultures and has drawn inspiration from music, nature, cellular biology and astronomy. All of these influences have gone into forming this collection of works. Each piece begins as an idea or concept in Greg's mind, and with the aid of music, comes to life either over a weekend or over multiple weeks. Greg paints predominantly in acrylic but also incorporates charcoal.

My German, Irish, and Aboriginal background is reflected in my philosophy and artwork.
