Karina Vallins
As a Northern Beaches artist, I am passionate about creating artwork that not only captures the beauty of my surroundings but also promotes sustainability. Working with all art mediums, my favourite is glass, particularly fused and slumped glass. By using art and recycled glass, I aim to save it from landfills and give it a new purpose.
My work was originally inspired after seeing the Venice glass masters at work. My own glass kin studio allows me to experiment with different forms and techniques, constantly pushing the boundaries with this versatile medium.
With a BA in fine art and visual culture, my art is always evolving and also carries a deeper message of environmental conservation and responsible use of resources.
I hope my art inspires others to appreciate the beauty of our world and take action to preserve it for future generations.
