Donna Maree

I would describe my art style as, contemporary abstraction with a definite geometric influence, wrapped up in simplistic complexity.

My works currently aren’t always meant to be a visually correct version of a place, object or time, but rather the simple beauty of shape, form and colour coming together to form an interpretation of what I see or imagine.

I have tried my hand at a diverse range of styles over the years, but now feel I have found the direction that inspires me to paint the most. I guess, as with a lot of things, it takes a while to get where you’re supposed to be.
