The Pulse of Africa

As an abstract artist, I’m not concerned with representing realism.
My mark making creates shapes and movement in response to the African landscape.
My painting process reacts to nuances in nature, to the environment, to culture and to emotions.
I tap into what is actual and abstract via colour and shapes which evolve into spots, stripes and textures of  the wildlife.
In addition, the dynamic features of the abstracted African landscape can also be read into the paintings.
