North Head

The foreground of this work is a brilliantly wild arrangement of branches, the organic forms created by the various twigs and leaves draw the viewer in - Prescott’s dedication to light and shadow in these branches create a vivacity of movement. Peeking through the branches is the headland watching over Bilgola beach, almost out of focus, one can only make out splashes of green, brown and pink as the cliffs descend into the bright blue sea.
