Date: 9th September 2024
Location: Mgahinga National Park, Uganda
Story: This is Rukundo, whose name means 'love' in the local Ruhija language. He’s the youngest of three silverback mountain gorillas in the Nyakagezi family of Mgahinga National Park, Uganda. Despite being the youngest, he’s the largest—and by far the gentlest. During an unforgettable close encounter, he softly touched my stomach to move me aside so he could reach some berries above my head.
Settings:1/400th SEC, f/4.0, ISO 4000
