Danny Stephens

“Art is and has been present in everything I do”

Danny Stephens is a landscape artist on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Danny grew up in Sydney's Northern Beaches, having the beautiful local landscapes and his mother, inspiring his love for art. After graduating with graphic design and landscape, He spent four years travelling through Europe and Mexico, surfing and working and always trying to seek comfort in landscapes. Danny got married, had a son, and lived in South America for nine years. While living abroad he developed a keen interest in realistic oil painting. He was inspired by nature and more specifically the local seascapes. 

Danny has since returned to Sydney where he paints the local scene and also continues to landscape gardens. Through landscaping, Danny can express his art with the land and nature. He has done this on three different continents which always inspires his endless love and interest in the natural surroundings. 

The truth is that in a certain way, art has been in everything Danny has done. Whether it’s through the garden, surfing, or painting scenes of where the ocean meets the sand, it’s the landscape that moves Danny.
